We grow an extensive variety of heirloom vegetables noted for their unique appearance and extraordinary flavor, as well as an array of culinary/medicinal herbs and edible flowers. “BADSEED” is a non-certified, beyond organic operation dedicated to respecting both the health of the individual and the environment. It is our aim to build community and collective consciousness through the universal pleasure that comes from eating good food.

Root Deep uses organic and sustainable practices to grow VEGETABLES AND HERBS for market. Markets: 39th Street Community Market, located at 39th & Genessee, KCMO, Wednesdays 5 pm to 8 pm starting mid-April to October, and the Farmers Community Market at Brookside, located at Border Star Montessori School, 63rd & Wornall, KCMO, Saturdays 8 am to 1 pm from mid-April to October. CSA membership runs 20 weeks from mid-May to Sept. Shares can be picked up at one of the two markets only. Email me for an application.

Platte Prairie Farms is an urban farm nestled in the loess bluffs and rich creek bottoms of Kansas City’s northland. We use no-till, biodynamic methods to produce healthy fresh fruits and vegetables for Kansas City families.
Raspberries, apples, peaches, nectarines, spinach, summer squash, winter squash, greens, onions, potatoes, sweet potatoes, peppers, tomatoes, melons, sweet corn, brassicas, kamut grass, cucumbers, beans, bamboo shoots, wild flowers and herbs in season.
For the 2009 season we are offering 10 family CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) shares.

Designed using Permaculture principles and No Till biodynamic methods. •We employ water saving techniques to replace lawns and unsustainable landscaping with fruit, vegetables and native plantings. We are proud to offer both roasted and green sustainable whole bean coffees from different regions around the world. All coffee beans sold are certified organic, Fair-Trade and/or Rainforest Alliance, available in 1# packages. Our coffee is drum roasted in small batches to ensure its freshness for our customers.
We offer free coffee samples plus coffee and organic hot cocoa by the cup for sale. Stop by for a free sample of our “Coffee with a conscience.”

Yum Tum foods offer gourmet delights lovingly gathered, prepared and preserved for ongoing enjoyment. We make old-fashioned herbal jellies and jams using no commercial pectin and made in small batches with fruit gathered from friendly backyards, farms and orchards of Missouri. Some of our offerings include apple geranium and apple marjoram/pineapple sage jelly, wild strawberry and mulberry fruit spread, peach and rose petal jam, pear honey and old fashioned apple butter.

We grow chemical and pesticide free vegetables and fruits with natural fertilizers. Wells Family Farms is proud to offer our CERTIFIED ORGANIC GRASSFED BEEF! We also have a variety of BERRIES, NUTS, and MANURE FERTILIZER. As of the first of 2008, we have 600 acres certified with more in transition. Our beef is sold locally at the Farmers Community Market at Brookside and the 39 th St. Community Market in Midtown, as well as online through our website and straight from the farm.
